Kristie Stenning creates expressive figurative and nature paintings, from her studio on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Deeply inspired by the earth, the sea, and the raw energy that lives inside her, she explores the sensual beauty of the female form and its intimate connection to nature.

 

 Working with layers of vibrant colour, fluid ink drips, and fragments of vintage wallpaper, Kristie builds rich, tactile surfaces that feel alive and deeply personal. She collects beautiful old papers from all over the world — a lifelong passion. These aged, textured sheets remind her of ruins and forgotten places, the quiet beauty within decay, and the powerful change that comes from inside — much like ivy slowly reclaiming an old home as nature gently takes back what is hers.  Her women are often captured in quiet, contemplative moments — bold yet vulnerable, strong yet soft, earthy yet ethereal. Each piece carries the same fluid movement she finds when walking by the ocean or breathing in the natural world around her.

 

 Whether painting on canvas or sculpting in bronze, Kristie’s work is a celebration of feminine energy, emotional depth, and the beauty that exists between the studio and the sea. For over 15 years as a full-time artist, Kristie has built a strong and loyal following across Australia. Her original artworks are collected in private homes, corporate collections, high-end hotels, and interior design projects throughout the country.
